Six maniac

Perfect riding conditions today - overcast and cool but not too cold and the tracks pretty dry so the descents were fast.

Those conditions meant I managed 6 consecutive climbs and the forecast rain didn’t even eventuate.

Once again by the end of the ride my shoulders were feeling it but the legs still felt pretty strong. The sweatsheet shows I lost 2.65l during the ride (and somehow I still needed to pee at the end).

25 ascents done in total and 7.5km vertical ridden so far. I’m glad to have a bit of a buffer in the bag in case of weather or gear problems down the track.

Good to see lots of people out again enjoying the riding on SIgnal

Beer of the day: Bootleg Booch - A pink apple alcholic kombucha technically a cider rather than a beer I think. Light but not as refreshing as yesterday’s which I’d definitely choose in preference.

Song of the day: The bug collector by Hayley Heynderickx. Calling this quirky would be an understatement. I think, it’s great - folksy but different with the slightly off-key horns. The kids hate it.
